Mos Legis Review is a peer-reviewed law journal committed to publishing scholarship that is methodologically sound, doctrinally careful and useful to the people who practise, teach and reform the law.
Our Mandate
Why the Review Exists
Legal publishing has grown quick and crowded. Mos Legis Review was founded on the opposite instinct: fewer papers, read more closely, held to a standard that a court or a classroom would recognise as serious.
The Review takes its name from mos legis — the custom and manner of the law. Custom shapes doctrine as surely as statute does, and the journal exists to document that shaping with evidence rather than assertion.
We welcome contributions from students, academics, advocates and policy researchers. Submissions are assessed on the argument alone.

Aim & Scope
We publish rigorous scholarship across constitutional, criminal, corporate, technology, environmental and comparative law, alongside case and legislative commentaries.
Double-Blind Review
Every manuscript is stripped of identifying data and assessed by at least two reviewers on originality, methodology, argumentation and citation discipline.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions rest solely with the Board. No submission is advanced, delayed or declined on grounds of affiliation, institution or patronage.
Open Access
Published work is freely readable, permanently archived by volume and issue, and citable with a stable reference and recommended citation block.
Process
From Submission to Publication

Submission
Author submits a blinded manuscript with declarations of originality and non-plagiarism.

Pre-Screening
Editorial desk checks scope, formatting, word limits and similarity index within 3–5 working days.
- 03
Peer Review
Two independent reviewers assess the manuscript; a third is appointed where opinions diverge.
- 04
Decision
Accept, accept with revisions, revise and resubmit, or decline — communicated with reviewer notes.
- 05
Publication
Copy-editing, proof approval by the author, and assignment to a volume and issue.
