Peer Review Policy

The double-blind review process, its stages and the timelines the Review commits to at each stage.

Process

Every manuscript passes through pre-screening, plagiarism screening, editorial desk review and double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers with subject expertise.

Timelines

The Review commits to the following indicative timelines:

  • Acknowledgement of receipt: 2 working days
  • Pre-screening decision: 7 working days
  • Peer review outcome: 4 to 6 weeks (3 working days under Priority Review, where available)
  • Publication after acceptance and payment: 2 weeks

Decisions and reviewer notes

Decisions are accept, accept with minor revisions, revise and resubmit, or reject. Written reviewer notes accompany every decision, including rejections. Reviewer identities are never disclosed to authors.
